Setting up Pidgin

1. Download Pidgin and install it. (Learn about Pidgin)
2. If Pidgin does not open the Accounts screen for you, open it by going to the Accounts menu and picking Manage.
3. Hit the Add button.
4. Choose the protocol "XMPP" from the dropdown.
5. In the Screen Name field, type in the username given to you by your friendly ISoft representative. If you were given a username by a surly ISoft representative, it will probably work too.
6. In Domain Name, type in im.isoftdata.com
7. In Local Alias, type in the name you want people to see (your full name is probably the best idea).
8. In Password, type in the password you got from the ISoft representative in Step 5.
9. Hit Save. Close the Accounts screen.
10. Go to the Tools menu and select Plugins.
11. Scroll down to Windows Pidgin Options (probably at the bottom of the list), check it, and click Configure Plugin.
12. Make sure "Start Pidgin on Windows startup" and is checked
13. Go to the Tools menu and select Preferences.
14. On the Conversations tab select "Flash window when chat messages are received"
15. Set it to auto join your company's chat (if you have one)
    1. Go to the Buddies menu
    2. Select Join a Chat
    3. Hit Room List
    4. Select your companies chat from the list and hit Add Chat (this will add it to your buddy list)
    5. When the Add Chat dialog appears, give the Chat a name under Alias (ex. "Company XYZ Chat")
    6. Select "Autojoin when account becomes online."
    7. Hit Add
16. Hit the Close button. Hit the other Close button. You should now be set up!
