Linux Sever
Replikwando on Linux using Wine

#:Do `put “Replikwando with Wine.tar.gz” .` to put the install files on their server
#:You can also put the customer's key and cert now, as well
#:If that fails, use `gunzip “Replikwando with Wine.tar.gz”`, `tar -xf “Replikwando with Wine.tar”
#You will now have two new files in your directory, replikwando_install.sh and ISoft/*
#:Type ./replikwando_install.sh
#:Depending on the system configuration, several prompts may show up. Just read them and follow what they tell you to do.
#:The script will tell you when it is done running.
#Navigate to ~/.wine/drive_c/Program\ Files/Replikwando
#:This directory will contain the error logs, sqlite file, and so on.
#:Put in the required values for replication.ini (see above)
#Type ~/replikwando_startup.sh to start Replikwando for the first time.
#:Confirm that Replikwando is running correctly using the error logs here
#:Type `vi <filename>` to open the file in an editor to read it. Type :q<enter> to quit.
#To connect to the mysql server, type `mysql -utestuser -hlocalhost -p`
#:You'll have to type a 'use <database>' command before running queries
#Once Replikwando is confirmed running, type `sudo vi /etc/rc.local` and place the following lines just above the last line that says 'exit 0':
# start replikwando
#Done!
<br>
*Some quick tips:<br>
Quick linux commands:
:ls : shows you what is in the directory
:sudo : lets you run powerful & dangerous commands (requires password)
:cd : change directory
:rm : deletes a file (use rm -r to delete a folder)
:deletes cannot be undone!
:You can't open Replikwando's UI to see if it's pushing data, so you have to rely on the error logs and test database changes.
:All normal Replikwando caveats apply (initial push db lock, query error logs, so on so forth)

After the initial push, be sure to copy over functions and stored procedures as necessary, as replikwando doesn't do this automatically.

# In the database section set hostname equal to the name of the server
##The server name can be found by doing a customer search on Kung Fu.
# In the general section set the reportsdir, imagesdir, and attachdir to their corresponding directory created on the server (see step 7.1 in the "Server Side" section)
##Go to my computer and type the name of the server into the address bar, preceded by two backslashes (\\<server name>)
##This will allow you to find what the directories are called
# Put the computer in the Update System
## Add a new customer
# Turn on updates for this computer
## Go to Manage Customers
## Select the computer that you are working on (the company, then the same name as your VNC Connection)
## When installing Pro - select all of the updates EXCEPT Master Test, New Update Test, and QB Extension List.
## When installing Enterprise - select all of the appropriate extensions. For example, if you are installing ITrack for a customer who doesn't need the QuickBooks extension... don't select the QuickBooks extension. This section is being rapidly changed/updated at the moment, but using common sense will help you get the job done.
# Launch ITrack
# Confirm that it downloads the latest updates
# Restart ITrack
# Setup the MySQL ODBC Connector
# Pat yourself on the back

Note: If you want to run ITrack with a different configuration file, create a shortcut and change "Target" in its properties to have a -i configfile at the end (where configfile is the name of the new configuration file). Example: "C:\Program Files\ISoft Data Systems\ITrack Pro\itrack.exe" -i host2.ini

Bmoore: /* Master Part */

Work orders in ITrack Enterprise are a document that encompasses several core processes, which are divided into work order types.

Work Order Processes
* Inventory rebuild/repair/remanufacture: this type of WO is designed to take parts, labor, and possibly a dirty core and create a new inventory item or increase the quantity of an existing inventory item. These processes are facilitated by the 'work on inventory' work order type. WOs of these types are usually priced at cost.
* Customer repair/rebuild: these types of WOs are designed for doing work on customers' units. They do not add value to inventory, they usually have an invoice associated with them to pass cost on to the customer, and they usually incorporate price markups.

Work Order Parameters
Each work order has many parameters and values that define its purpose and impact in the system. Most of these values can be saved into easy to use templates to help avoid needing to reenter common data for each work order.

Work Order Types
Work order types are a named sets of data that describe defaults and parameters of work orders. All work orders have a work order type, and the list of types is user editable. Listed here are some of the more important work order parameters that can be set in a type:

* Name: a name defined by the user that should be useful and understandable by users. It describes the report type.
* Report: the type of report that should be printed for all work orders of this type.
* Work on inventory/work on customer unit: this is a very important field that defines which process work orders of this type are designed to perform. Work on inventory WOs create new stock or add value to existing stock, and all WOs of this type have a master part record. Work on customer unit WOs instead represent work done at the behest of a customer, and have a customer and customer unit associated with them. When finalized, WOs of this type are associated with an invoice to the specified customer.
* GL Defaults: specifies a default GL Department and GL Category for jobs on the WO. The category is used for the labor accounting.
* Part pricing defaults: these values allow the user to specify pricing methods and price markups for items on the WO.
** Cost: this pricing method uses part and labor cost to specify the work order price and the job prices.
** Customer: uses the customer pricing matrix of the customer on the WO.
** Markup: allows manual specification of a pricing level markup for prices on the WO.

Work Order Components
Master Part
This is the part that a work order is "done to". For example, if the work order is of a type that involves a customer unit - and that unit is NOT a misc. unit (i.e. it's a specific customer unit that you prefer to have regulated info about) - there will be a button near the upper left corner of your screen that lets you add/edit the customer unit which you are working on. On the other hand, if the current work order is of a type that must involve an item from inventory instead, that same button will take you to the search screen where you can select the part you have in mind.

Jobs
Job Parts
Tasks
Labor
* Labor is written to using either dotted form (1.5 is 1h30m) or clock form (1:30 is 1h30m).

Car-part grabs inventory from ITrack based on interchange number, make and model, and maybe (or maybe not) a few more things. If the interchange number were wrong, Duff and Brad are fairly sure that would NOT cause the export to fail outright - it would just make stuff not show up on car-part.

There is no way to search around inside an ITrack database for stuff that is hanging around in ITrack but not showing up on car-part for whatever reason. ===Server IP address===
The address of the ITrack database server.
Directories
The image and attachments directories are where images and attachments are saved on your computer.

The reports directory is where ITrack looks for the report files when printing.

Generally, these directories are pointed at a common location on a shared server.

Printers Tab
This tab allows you to choose what printers ITrack will use to print out various reports, such as sales orders and billing reports. All of these options are computer-specific, except for the Invoice Memo, which is a store-wide setting.

Printer Type
Every report in ITrack has a printer type. Most of them should be self-explanatory - sales orders default to printing out on the Sales Order printer. Reports that are not obvious are usually filed under the general "Report" type.

Changing Printers
To change the printer for a type, simply pick the printer from the "Printer Name" dropdown. This list of printers will be the same list you see in your Windows Printers.

Copies Per Invoice
By changing this number, you can determine how many copies of your Sales Order will print out when you finalize (close) an invoice.

Invoice Memo
This text is printed at the bottom of every sales order report. This setting is store-wide, and affects everybody at your store.
Something must be wrong with the page layout (or size) in either Windows or Crystal.

Solution
1. Check to make sure all the settings for your printer are correct. (Find the printer in Windows, go into its properties, look at the margins, page setup, orientation, etc.) This is most often the culprit. To double-check that everything is set correctly, try comparing your printer's settings against another printer that you already know prints things out how they *should* be printed out.

2. If everything is set correctly in Windows and you are still experiencing problems, then it is probably an issue with the Crystal report or (more likely) the report's width/height/orientation settings in the database. Please contact ISoft and ask us to take a look at this issue.

Sometimes a report will print out successfully, but will print landscape instead of portrait (or vice versa) or will not fit on the page correctly.

Cause
Something must be wrong with the page layout in either Windows or Crystal.

Solution

B-Moore, who is often mysteriously referred to only as "Brad", is a 6'3" male from rural Nebraska. He bats left, throws left, shoots right, and boards regular - and is rather adept at throwing knives, playing tubas, speaking Portuguese, and other vitally important skill sets (and musical instruments and languages that no one else in Nebraska knows.)

Psychologically, B-Moore is an INTJ with some other strange elements thrown in. Ideologically, he is an epistemic skeptic, a dualist, a soft-determinist, a hard consequentialist, and a Jesus Freak. Etymologically, his full name means "broad high wetland". Logically, there exists an X such that X is B-Moore.

Some years ago, B-Moore achieved notoriety for his involvement in the "band folder" incident. When asked to comment on the matter, he requested a moment to gather his thoughts, after which he succinctly concluded: "Your face."

In the political sphere, B-Moore has established a 25-year track record of consistently supporting the general coolness. Running on this platform, recent poll results indicate that he is probably the next President of the United States of America.
