Zebra DS2278
This page will cover how to setup a Zebra DS2278 Bluetooth Barcode Scanner to work with iSoft products on mobile devices.

Scanner Info
* Approx Cost: $190-$280 depending on accessories and support
* Important Features: Bluetooth, 14 hour+ battery life, 5ft drop, 36 month warranty, 123Scan app, SDKs for iOS, Android, Windows

Quick Start Guide
Android using Chrome
* The fastest way to get started is to scan the appropriate barcode for your device type. **Make sure your device is fully charged!
* This model of scanner can scan from a high resolution monitor or screen
* Each of the barcodes below will change the defaults on your scanner. You will need to "forget" or "remove" the device in your Bluetooth settings and reconnect
* The below barcodes have the following settings: Prefix : Suffix $, HID features for iOS, Host: HID BT Classic

iOS using ITrack LX App
Tip: You do not need to set up this device as a keyboard wedge

1. You first need to install the Zebra iOS app https://apps.apple.com/us/app/zebra-scanner-control/id1034012069

2. Open that app and go to Connection Help > Pair DS2278

3. Follow the onscreen instructions

4. Go back to the main screen and choose Connect

5. Tap on the DS2278 and choose Disconnect(this will disconnect it from the Zebra app so we can connect it to the ITrack LX app)

6. Go to the ITrack LX app and after a few seconds you should hear a connection beep from the scanner. Scanning in the ITrack LX app with the DS2278 should now work.

Charging the Scanner
* The charging circuit on the scanner is capable of using as much current as possible based on the power source
* Preferred Method: use a BC1.2 Compliant Micro USB adapter to a wall outlet (higher current charging capability above 900 mA)
postamble = "13" = "Enter"

Car-Part.com is a company that runs a web site which indexes car parts for car yards across the US.

Software
Car-Part.com distributes software that allows ITrack users to export parts from ITrack to Car-Part.com, as well as to search the Car-Part.com database from ITrack. So there are two main parts to Car-Part:
# Search - car-part
# Upload - pkzip

You will also need the company's car-part login info, which you can get one of the following ways:
* Whatever system we're currently using to store customer information
* Asking fellow ISoft Employee to see if they have a copy of login info
* Emailing a car-part representative (Cristi at car-part dot com)

Search
(Car-part calls this "Trading Partners" to confuse you.)

Place all of the car-part search files in the C:\car-part\ directory.

Run the Config.exe application:
* In the Inventory Management System drop down menu select ISoft
* Enter the Username, Password, and Site information that has been provided for you.
** The site name is usually something like: trade<some_number>.car-part.com
* The other fields are not required
* Save the Settings

Run windows_update_fix.reg

When a user clicks the car-part button on the search screen of ITrack, it launches this app. ITrack passes in the search criteria and the car-part app launches the search in their web browser.

Upload
The upload application needs to be in the %systemdrive%\pkzip\ directory.

#Grab the zip file from \\bunnahabhain\ITRACK\Tech Support\3rd Party Software\Car-Part and transfer it to the customer's computer.
#Unzip the files and make sure that pkzip is in the root of the C:\ drive. Overwrite files if prompted.
#Run carpart.exe
#Enter the customers login info
#*The site name should be "compatible.car-part.com"

You can check if the information will export correctly by opening ITrack Pro and going to 'Data Import/Export', the Export tab. When you click the 'Export to Car-Part.com' button the Car-Part application should launch and blue loading bars should briefly scroll across it. You may need to go to Edit >> Options >>General and turn on the workstation as an Auto Yard for this button to become active.

How It Works
Car-part grabs inventory from ITrack based on interchange number, make and model, and maybe (or maybe not) a few more things. If the interchange numbers were wrong, Duff and Brad are fairly sure that would NOT cause the export to fail outright - it would just make stuff not show up on car-part.

The query it runs
<source lang="mysql">
SELECT `year`, `model`, `typenum`, `interchangenum`, `side`, `suggestedprice`, `bottomprice`, `tagnum`, LEFT(`description`, 80), `store`
FROM `inventory`
WHERE `quantity` > 0
AND `status` = 'A'
AND (`typenum` LIKE '%%0' OR (`typenum` > 99 AND `typenum` < 1000))
</source>

Troubleshooting
* If ITrack crashes when the button for the Car-Part upload is clicked, then the issue is probably related to host.ini. In the [general] section of host.ini, find the masterdir line and set it to masterdir=.

Car-Part Contact
When we need to speak to someone at Car-Part, we typically speak to Tammy Cavnar. The number to reach Car-part is 859-344-1925.

* Save the Settings

Run windows_update_fix.reg

When a user clicks the car-part button on the search screen of ITrack, it launches this app. ITrack passes in the search criteria and the car-part app launches the search in their web browser.

How It All Works
#There are two views in the itrackpro database: v_invoice_shipping_address and v_quote_shipping_address.(Already exists as they went out on the AU)
#MySQL users(ups and fedex) exist that only have access to that view.(For self-hosted customers, this already exists as they went out on the AU. For hosted customers, talk to Brian and have him create a UPS user specifically for their DB)
#A ODBC data source is configured using the ups or fedex account.
#UPS Worldship or FedEx is configured to access shipping information for customers via the ODBC data source and fields are mapped in UPS Worldship or FedEx.
#Via some option in the menu, the user of Worldship or FedEx can enter in the invoice # or quote #(depending on which they are using) and it will automatically fill out the correct fields in Worldship/FedEx so the user doesn't have to manually enter it.

For any other shipping application to use this functionality it would need to support ODBC data sources.

Details below.

Contact UPS or FedEx
UPS
If a user requests UPS integration you will most likely need to contact this UPS rep to setup things on the UPS Worldship side:<br>
<br>
Paul Walker<br>
UPS Customer Solutions<br>
Solutions Engagement Supervisor<br>
Telephone (904)994-2971<br>
pwalker at ups dot com
FedEx
If a user requests FedEx integration you will most likely need to contact this FedEx rep to setup things on the FedEx side:<br>
<br>
Brian<br>
(850)210-2182

Using Quote Number
This has been rolled out on the AU so everyone should already have this view:
<source lang="mysql">
DROP VIEW IF EXISTS `v_quote_shipping_address`;

CREATE VIEW `v_quote_shipping_address` AS
(
SELECT `quote`.`invoicenum` AS `OrderNumber`,
IF(`quote`.`shipcompany` = , `quote`.`shipname`, `quote`.`shipcompany`) AS `Name`,
IF(`quote`.`shipcompany` = , , `quote`.`shipname`) AS `Attn`,
`quote`.`shipstreet` AS `Address`,
`quote`.`shipmailing` AS `Address2`,
`quote`.`shipcity` AS `City`,
`quote`.`shipstate` AS `State`,
`quote`.`shipzip` AS `PostalCode`,
`quote`.`shipphone` AS `PhoneNumber`,
`customer`.`email` AS `Email`
FROM `quote`
JOIN `customer`
ON `quote`.`customernum` = `customer`.`customernum`
WHERE `quote`.`document` != 'VOID'
)
;
</source>

Using Invoice Number
Some users may want the integration to use the invoice number. If so, they will no longer be able to use the quote number from within UPS/FedEx.
<source lang="mysql">
DROP VIEW IF EXISTS `v_invoice_shipping_address`;

CREATE VIEW `v_invoice_shipping_address` AS
(
SELECT `invoice`.`invoicenum` AS OrderNumber,
IF(`invoice`.`shipcompany` = , `invoice`.`shipname`, `invoice`.`shipcompany`) AS `Name`,
IF(`invoice`.`shipcompany` = , , `invoice`.`shipname`) AS `Attn`,
`invoice`.`shipstreet` AS Address,
`invoice`.`shipmailing` AS Address2,
`invoice`.`shipcity` AS City,
`invoice`.`shipstate` AS State,
`invoice`.`shipzip` AS PostalCode,
`invoice`.`shipphone` AS PhoneNumber,
`customer`.`email` AS Email,
`invoice`.`trackingnum` AS TrackingNumber,
`invoice`.`shipdate` AS ShipDate
FROM `invoice`
JOIN `customer`
ON `invoice`.`customernum` = `customer`.`customernum`
WHERE document = 'Invoice'
)
;
</source>

Using It
In UPS Worldship
Problems setting up Worldship
If you've created the ITrack Import Map, and attempt to key in a Salesorder or Invoice # and get this error returned:

Then you need to open the ODBC Profile that the ITrack Import map is utilizing, open the advanced settings at the bottom, go to the Misc section and check "Prepare Statements on the client."

Make sure to restart UPS Worldship before you attempt to key in another Sales Order.

In FedEx
Cause
This message indicates a problem (such as a version incompatibility) with the Crystal Reports DLLs installed on your computer.

If you are attempting to print reports from a replicated customer database, you will get this message because the company db does not contain filechunk data. That resides in <companyproductcode>_images on db.isoftdata.com.

Solution
# There is something wrong with the file or filechunk table (if ITrack is pulling reports from the database). Check the database and try opening the file in the ITrack Attachment Manager.
# For all current versions of ITrack, the Crystal 11 Package installs all necessary DLLs on the machine, except the craxdrt.dll file, which must be in the ITrack directory.

For all old versions of ITrack, a combination of prayer and luck are necessary to find and register the right combination of DLLs (crqe.dll, craxdrt9.dll, ???) to make Crystal happy.
What is TForce Worldwide
TForce Worldwide provides shipping quotes, pickup, and delivery. For information about how to use their web portal as well as signing up for an account, see this tutorial video.

The ITrack/TForce Freight integration provides value to customers by making it faster to get quotes and schedule shipments, but also because all ITrack users' shipping volume is given a group rate. This allows users to get volume discounts they would not normally be able to reach.

For information about rates, as well as signing up for an account, contact Brent Johnson: [mailto:brent.w.johnson@tfwwi.com Email at brent.w.johnson@tfwwi.com] or Phone: 952-345-3195

Video Tutorial
Besides the tutorial for the TForce Worldwide website itself, there is also a tutorial for how to use the TForce Worldwide interface that was specially created for ITrack. This video will show you how to use the interface inside of ITrack Enterprise.

Configuring TForce Integration
In order to use the TForce Freight integration in ITrack, several steps must be completed:

1. Contact TForce Worldwide to get an account set up. (Tell them ISoft sent you so that you get the most competitive group negotiated rates)

2. Once you have a TForce portal and account, they should send you a "Customer Account Number" and a "Billing Location Code". If you don't get one, contact ISoft or TForce support and we'll make sure we get you set up.

3. Launch ITrack and go to the following menu, depending on your software version:
ITrack Enterprise: Edit->Integrations->Shipping Integrations...
ITrack Pro: Edit->Options (Shipping Integrations page)

You should see the following screen:

4. Check "Enable TForce shipping" to enable the TForce Freight subsystem

5. Enter the account # you got from TForce or ISoft into the Account # box. Also enter the billing code you received in the Billing Location Code box. The following file shows an example configuration. Review the "More Settings" section for descriptions of the other fields.

6. Give some users permission to get shipping quotes and/or schedule shipments. This can be done in the same place as other permissions: the menu Edit->Manage Users->User Permissions and Settings... Users without permission at a document's store will not be able to view a shipping quote or schedule the document. For a user to be able to generate quotes, they will need the "TForce: Quote shipments" permission. In order to schedule shipments, they'll need the "TForce: Schedule shipments" permission.

More Settings
In the "Shipping Integrations..." menu, there are several other fields you can configure, which are described here.

Testing Mode
Check the "Testing mode" checkbox if you'd like to test generating some quotes and scheduling shipments without actually hitting your live TForce Freight portal.
Quotes Only Mode
Check the "Disable shipping scheduling" checkbox if you'd like to allow users to view TForce shipping quotes, but not schedule final shipments through the sales screen integration.
Shipping Markup
If you'd like to present a markup on all shipping quotes to your salespeople, enter a non-zero % in the Markup field. This does not effect the cost of the shipping presented in your Bill of Lading.
URL for shipping integration
You will not usually need to change this value from its default unless you have a custom deployment of the shipping integration. If you do, enter the base URL here. The default is https://shipping.isoftdata.com/dls/index.php

NOTE: you can omit the index.php from the end, but the trailing "/" is required.

Shipping Quote Example
The following steps show an example walkthrough of getting a shipping quote from an unsaved sales order using ITrack Enterprise.

1. Open or build a sales order. Either right click and select "Get TForce shipping quote" or click the Advanced Options button and select "Get TForce shipping quote".

2. You will be brought to ITrack's Online page with the document information already filled out in the shipment quote form. In the popup, fill out the shipping dimensions and weight, choose whether to insure the shipment, select any accessorial charges required and click the "Get Rates" button.

3. You will be shown various shipment quotes for the chosen shipping class, insurance, and extra charges.

4. If you only want a quote, you can note the quotes and close the screen to be taken back to the SO screen. If you'd like to schedule one of the shown shipments, simply click on the preferred carrier. The shipment will be scheduled and you will be shown a Bill of Lading that you can print out if you'd like.

Daytonlowell: Daytonlowell moved page ITrack/TForce Worldwide Integration to ITrack/Shipping Integration: We now support more than just TForce shipping, so we're moving to a more generalized name

Bryan Bartz - bbartz@tfwwi.com

ITrack Enterprise: Edit->Integrations->Shipping Integrations...

One of the things on that document is not correctly synced with Quickbooks - the Quickbooks ID that ITrack knows is not the one in Quickbooks.
Resync the objects on the thing you were trying to push (double-click on them, select the matching object in Quickbooks).

Daytonlowell: /* LXPro */

Several elements of ITrack and ITrack software utilize barcodes. All ITrack products should utilize a similar barcoding scheme.

Encoding
All bar codes are done via standard 3-of-9.

Preamble and postamble
Virtually every barcode scanner can be programmed to simulate a keypress combination before entering the barcode contents (the preamble) and after (postamble).

ITrack Pro
ITrack Pro document screens (Sales, Quotes, Purchase Orders) expect a preamble of Ctrl+b and a postamble of \n.

The document screens will take whatever value is between those characters and do a lookup by partnum (the value encoded in barcodes on ITrack Pro tags), and if no values are found by partnum, by UPC (the value encoded into the barcodes printed on most products).

Workclock
The workclock system expects the barcode scanner to provide a preamble and postamble of ':$:'.

LXW
LXW defaults to preamble '~' [126] and postamble '\r' or 'enter' [13], but can be changed via Settings: 'ITrack LX'-'Preamble Character Codes' and 'Postamble Character Codes'

http://www.k68.org/wp-content/uploads/2010/11/Key_Codes.htm

http://www.west-wind.com/WestwindWebToolkit/samples/Ajax/html5andCss3/keycodechecker.aspx

Barcode Formatting
Depending on the context, the barcode will encode different types of values.

Notes on Formatting
* The '*' character is never passed on to the client application.
** The '*' character is specific to 5of9 barcodes and should only be include when generating barcodes using the 5of9 barcode font.
** If you use a third party barcode generator or if you are artificially sending scans to a app via javascript, DO NOT include the '*' character.
***Actually, we should change this page to get rid of '*' on all the barcode formats, then change this note to "ADD * to beginning and end of a 5of9 barcode if you are generating it using 5of9 font".
* Square brackets indicate where actual ids etc should be placed.
** They are NOT included in the final barcode.

An example to ilistrate using lxw as an example:
*Given a sales order from store 1 with id 5318008.
*And a format from this wiki as *S[storeid]-[salesorderid]*

;using 5of9 font to print a barcode:
: *S1-5318008*

;generating a barcode using 3rd party tool or simulating a scan:
Technically, non-conforming barcode scans that contain letters and numbers are treated as locations as a work-around for an existing setup. However, this behavior is NOT supported in the long-term and will be deprecated and removed without notice. Don't rely on it!
List of things to fix in the current scheme that will cause trouble down the road:
* Inventory ID and InventoryID-SerialID are not prefixed, (potentially) overlapping with number-only string location names
* Inventory ID, InventoryID-SerialID, LocationID do not include storeid, requiring it to be guessed at and limiting its effectiveness if not outright causing bugs

From this screen you will be able to monitor all of the information about your customers. From the Customer Screen you will be able to add and edit customers. Accessing this screen is done via the Customer List screen in the main menu.
Address Tab
You can fill out the Billing Address information on the left. While it is possible to manually put in different information for the Shipping Address, simply clicking the copy button between the two will copy the info from the billing address to the shipping address.

The Map button located below the Copy button will bring up Google® Maps and show a map and driving directions from your location to the customer's location. At this point you may choose use any of the other tabs on the screen such as Additional Info or Payment Info. Instructions for these tabs are located below.

You may also print a billing statement for an individual customer by clicking on the Statement button, or apply payments for the customer by clicking on the Payments button. You may also create a new customer by clicking on the New button in the upper right corner or close by clicking on the Save & Close button.

If you want to continue adding information about your customer, or want to check the history of this customer, the tabs following Address Info will be useful.

Additional Information Tab
Click on the Additional Info tab located to the right of the Address Info tab. From this screen you can enter more information about the customer such as an email address, a web page address, and other important information.
The Option and Value fields are particularly useful. You can enter in specific things you want to know about each customer. Click Add Option to add a new question. Click the Show on Customer List Screen box if you want your new question to show up on the Customer List Screen.
Then, in the Values field, answer the question you asked in the Option field. This Option will now appear on all customers' screens.
Now, if you go to the Customer List Screen, you can search by the new Option you entered. (Additinal Info Tab screen shot)

Another thing to take note of is the Active checkbox. When this box is checked then the customer is listed as an active customer (someone who still does business with you), if the box is unchecked then the customer is listed as inactive (someone who no longer does business with you). Unless the 'Show Inactive Customers' checkbox is selected, you will not able to automatically view inactive customers in the Customer List Screen.

Payment Information Tab
The next tab is the Payment Info tab. From here, you can see the payment status of the customer, choose payment methods you will accept from the customer, and other payment information such as an account limit.
*A	The Cash Only check box prevents the customer from charging the transaction on a card.
*B	The Tax Item field allows you to choose the default tax item to use when quoting or selling to this customer.
*C	The Tax Number field will print the customer's tax number on invoices.
*D	The Tax expiration date. Since some customers are tax exempt, their status will need to be updated occasionally. This expiration date indicates when their current status needs to change.
*E	The Account Limit prevents a customer from charging more than the amount you set.
*F&G	These fields allow you to adjust the price for a customer automatically. The default setting is 100% retail, but some customers might pay 100% wholesale or 120% cost or 95% retail (5% discount).
*H	Use Allowed Payment Types to select the payment methods you allow for a customer.
*I This field allows you to pick all available payment methods, as well as a single default method to be used on the Sales Screen.

Sales Tab
The next tab is the Sales tab. This tab shows the invoice history for the customer and line items.
The Reprint button will reprint items you have selected.
The Void button will void a payment or invoice. By default this tab only shows invoices that have not been voided but the "Show Voided Documents" check box in the top right can be checked to view voided invoices.(Sales Tab screen shot)
To sort by any column, simply click its header title at the top. To re-order the columns, click and drag it left or right to a desired location.

Quotes Tab
The next tab is the Quotes tab. From here you can look at all the quotes that have been given to this customer. A quote can easily be converted to an invoice by highlighting the quote by clicking on it (it will turn blue) and then clicking the Send To Invoice button in the lower left of the screen. From this tab you may also choose to reprint a quote or close a quote. By default this tab only shows open quotes but the "Closed Quotes" check box in the top right can be checked to view closed quotes. (Quotes Tab screen shot)

Remember that new quotes are made in the Quotes Screen which can be accessed via the Main Menu. Also keep in mind that double clicking on an invoice or payment will re-open it and that double clicking on a line item will open it in the Part Management Screen.

Customer Units Tab
The final tab allows you to keep track of surfaces you have done for your customers. The top list displays vehicles brought in by the customer, while the bottom list displays all services done for the specific vehicle selected (its line will be highlighted blue).

A service entry can be associated with an existing quote or invoice via the quote or invoice number
