<h1>How to do Trade-ins in ITrack Pro</h1>
Some Pro yards do trade-ins on complete vehicles, but don't do it often enough to have a procedure in place. Here's a 2-step process for dealing with Complete Vehicle Trade-Ins that's similar to the process you already use for returns. The biggest difference is adding the vehicle record before you make the sale.

<h2>Step 1</h2>
You can fill in the details after you make the sale, but make sure you create a <a href="https://wikido.isoftdata.com/index.php/Pro/Vehicles_Screen#Entering_New_Vehicles" target="blank">Vehicle record</a>, before you start selling. <em>It's important to leave the qty on hand at <strong>0</strong></em>. This will give the trade-in space in your system and room for the sales order to adjust the quantity for you.

<h2>Step 2</h2>
Create your <a href="https://wikido.isoftdata.com/index.php/ITrack/Pro/Sales_Screen" target="blank">Sales Order</a>, keeping these things in mind:
<ul>
<li>All <strong>prices</strong> should be entered as <strong>positive values</strong>. The system will do the math on cost, etc. when you enter the quantities.
<li>Treat the <strong>quantities</strong> of all <strong>incoming</strong> items like you would returns. Enter them as <strong>negative values</strong>.
<li>Treat the <strong>quantities</strong> of all <strong>outgoing</strong> items like you would sales. Enter them as <strong>positive values</strong>.
