How to do Trade-ins in ITrack Pro

Some Pro yards do trade-ins on complete vehicles, but don't do it often enough to have a procedure in place. Here's a 2-step process for dealing with Complete Vehicle Trade-Ins that's similar to the process you already use for returns. The biggest difference is adding the vehicle record before you make the sale.

Step 1

You can fill in the details after you make the sale, but make sure you create a Vehicle record, before you start selling. It's important to leave the qty on hand at 0. This will give the trade-in space in your system and room for the sales order to adjust the quantity for you.

Step 2

Create your Sales Order, keeping these things in mind:

 • All prices should be entered as positive values. The system will do the math on cost, etc. when you enter the quantities.
 • Treat the quantities of all incoming items like you would returns. Enter them as negative values.
 • Treat the quantities of all outgoing items like you would sales. Enter them as positive values.
