My part is not showing up on car-part

Diagnosing why a part from ITrack is not showing up on Car-Part.com is a difficult task because of the logistics of transferring information between the different systems. Although most parts from ITrack transfer over seamlessly into Car-Part, there are occasional problems that arise. Here are a few things you can try to get your part in ITrack over to Car-Part.

1. Make sure you hit the 'Export to Car-Part' button in ITrack

  • The button is in the Data Import/Export Screen, on the Export tab.

  • The Car-Part Exporter will pop up and the progress bar should move to completion. If neither the exporter nor the progress bar appeared then your part probably didn't get sent to Car-Part successfully, and you should call ISoft Data Systems for assistance.

2. Give your part a valid interchange number

  • Car-Part requires a valid Hollander number in order to list your part. If you have the Hollander Interchange set up on your ITrack then it should give you the option of assigning the part a proper Hollander number. However, sometimes things go awry and a bit more work is required to get the Hollander Number.
  • You will be able to tell if a part has an interchange number by opening the part in the Parts Screen inside of ITrack. If the Interchange# field is blank, then the part does not have an interchange number assigned to it. Click on the button that has an icon of a book to assign an interchange number to the part.

  • Another thing that can go wrong is for the VIN of a vehicle to decode differently than what Car-Part expects. For instance, take the VIN: 9BWPG61J524000033. VinPower (the VIN Decoder that ITrack uses) decodes the vehicle as a 2002 Volkswagen GTI. If we run that same VIN into Car-Part's VIN Decoder it comes up as a 2002 Volkswagen Golf. If ITrack's VIN Decoder can not find the model of the vehicle, then you might want to try Car-Part's VIN Decoder to make sure the information gets translated over the way that Car-Part expects.
  • The Car-Part VIN Decoder can be found here. Click on the VIN Lookup button to use the VIN Decoder. After you have found the year/make/model that Car-Part expects, you will want to make sure that the part has that corresponding year/make/model in ITrack. From there you should be able to assign the part an interchange number that Car-Part accepts.
